“Where is my product deemed to originate?”
The most common and most costly misconception in Turkish industry is this sentence: "We have an A.TR, so our product counts as EU." It does not. An A.TR is a movement certificate; it proves free circulation under the Customs Union, it does not prove origin. Made in EU thresholds, trade defence measures and many public procurement rules look at non-preferential origin instead. A product can clear customs without issue and still be treated as third-country originating under origin rules.
